Become ALIVE is a resilience curriculum and supplement to individual and group counseling that utilizes a five-step framework, ALIVE, to aid teenage and young adult clients (ages 14+) in exploring their strength and growth areas and in developing their own guiding philosophy for life. ALIVE stands for Awareness, Living Skills, Identity, Vigilance, and Empathy, areas participants will explore in an effort to become agents of change in their own lives . . . to Become fully ALIVE.
6 week resilience course
A primer to the full Become ALIVE resilience course. Covers topics including: motivation, self-confidence, self-worth, healthy mindset, coping skills, and developing a mission statement. Appropriate for mature middle school and high school students. Group meets for 6 consecutive weeks, 1 hour meetings, 1x per week. 2 required books, textbook and workbook (included with course). Facilitated in person or virtually by a licensed therapist.

8 week resilience course
The full Become ALIVE resilience course. Covers topics including: motivation, self-confidence, self-worth, healthy mindset, coping skills, anxiety/stress reduction, depression/distress tolerance, and developing a mission statement. Intended for college students and adults of all ages. Group meets for 8 consecutive weeks, 1 hour meetings, 1x per week. 2 required books, textbook and workbook (included in cost of course). Facilitated in person or virtually by a licensed therapist.

8 week peer cohort option
8 week resilience course completed asynchronously with peer cohort, weekly discussion board moderated by licensed therapist. Includes 8 week access to cohort discussion board with weekly therapist review and comment. 2 required books, textbook and workbook (included in cost of course).

Full 8 week resilience course with option to post mission statement on Become ALIVE site. To be completed on your own. 2 required books, textbook and workbook (packaged together).

High School Guidance Office or College Counseling Center option
Run Become ALIVE resilience groups in your own facility. Includes 1/2 day staff training by licensed therapist, Become ALIVE group sessions then to be facilitated in house by trained high school or college guidance/counseling center staff.
1/2 day training with licensed therapist $300 (plus travel, lodging, and meals).
2 required books, textbook and workbook (packaged together). $29.99 (all staff attendees must purchase books), max 8 participants (staff must be pre-approved).
After staff training, facility run groups subject to Become ALIVE licensing fee $28 per student participant. 2 required books, textbook and workbook (packaged together). $29.99 per copy.
