Counseling has been a natural fit for me after growing up in a family of helping professionals. My parents have run a counseling practice since I was a teenager, and I worked there for a time as a clinical case manager before earning my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Shippensburg University and beginning my work as a counselor in community behavioral health here in the Harrisburg area. From there I joined a group practice and later went on to establish my own practice where I focus on treating depression, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders.

I see my approach to treatment as equally compassionate and practical, with a focus on addressing guilt and shame, reducing stress, increasing distress tolerance, generating motivation, and increasing self-efficacy, worth, and confidence. I believe that transformational change is the result of insight and action and it is my hope that I can support you as you move toward understanding and initiative. We will work together in developing and refining your problem-solving skills, affirming your progress along the way, and mapping out a meaningful direction for your life.
